Alignment: Proooobably chaotic neutral. Bojack isn't "evil" but he certainly isn't good. He's narcissistic and only really sees things for how they personally affect him.

Character Personality:
Bojack exudes ego and self-obsession, but his self worth is extremely fragile. Bojack both doubts and overvalues himself to the point where he's almost always paralyzed. He lingers on the past, particularly his huge success as a sitcom actor and his cruel and traumatic childhood. He struggles to move on from his issues, all though he appears to be extremely cognisant of them.

Deep down, Bojack admires old fashioned family values and desires to take on a role as a caretaker. His bad childhood has left him wanting to recreate a safe, happy home life but his trauma from it makes him destroy his chances for real, sustainable happiness. Bojack has developed an addictive personality over the years, therefore he prefers the rush to the slow burn of progress. He's addicted to alcohol, food and various forms of drugs and self-medicates his depression with these things.

So, essentially, Bojack is probably even more fragile than a toothpick. He is easily crushed by setting him up to disappoint everyone, making him question himself, taking him away from his vices, giving him too many of his vices. He's haunted by the mistakes of past and future and all of the people he's fucked up in his wake.


Abilities: Bojack's horse size means he can consume large amounts of alcohol and drugs before it really starts to hit him, this also probably has something to do with a tolerance he's built. Since he's a horse, it would probably take a large quantity of drugs to kill him, too. These are the things we need to think about.

Other than that, he can occasionally be strangely charismatic and charming which leads to him being manipulative.

Motives: Self-preservation, easily. A misguided attempt to be a hero and fix things, as well. Bojack could easily be manipulated into murdering.
Regains: A box set of Horsin' Around, his phone, a baggy of Bojack-brand heroin, his flask of 30 year old bourbon and his gun-shaped lighter.
